People reading Animal Farm can understand the animals because of what they both have in common: a dislike of authority. Another connection the animals have with readers is placing blame on others. “The rats, which had been troublesome that winter, were also said to be in league with Snowball” (Orwell 78). The animals had been blaming Snowball for all their problems, even though the problems had nothing to do with him. People always blame others for their mistakes and misfortunes.…

“Animal Farm”, came out in 1945 and it was a symbol of things in the real world back then, and I think it still relevant to today's society. George Orwell’s “Animal Farm”, is a simple idea and concepts but is a symbol for so much more that are still true to today's society. I find it to be very unique how he related all of these very serious topics in the world to a cartoon. I really like this story because of how it is so real, but fiction at the same time. I feel like I could read this book 100 times and still find new concepts and make more connections.…

Literary Analysis: Animal Farm Books or stories that represent historical events are few and far between. These types of literature are often found in history books or biographies of historic figures. More often than not, history books are not entertaining to read and are not suitable for most readers. Animal Farm, by George Orwell is a novel that uses symbolism, personification, and historical context to tell the story of the Russian Revolution. This piece of literature is unique and keeps readers entertained by using personification and symbolism to remind readers of something they may have read during their childhood while still providing them with enough historical context to keep the book on a teenage to adult level of reading.…

The independent reading book I choose to read this summer was “Animal Farm” by George Orwell. The story is about a farm where the animals are sick of doing labor for humans, so they rebel and kick the farmers off Manor Farm, a farm in England. The animals then instal a government based on animalism. Animalism has 7 rules whoever goes on two legs is an enemy, whoever goes open four legs, or has wings, is a friend, no animal should wear clothes, no animal should sleep in a bed, no animal should drink alcohol, no animal should kill any other animal, and all animals are equal. For a time things go well for a while until a pig by the name of Napoleon takes control by scaring away his opponent.…

Novels are a very important part of the present day society. They teach the society about the past, the present, and in some cases try to warn about the future. George Orwell who wrote 1984 and Animal Farm, also tried to warn about the future by reflecting on the past in these two novels. Both 1984 and Animal Farm share striking similarities in the way they present a dark and disturbing future. While focusing on the oppressive governments of the future, the common aspects of both novels are: media use by the governments, the limited rights and freedoms that the citizen have, and the privileges that the governments keep to themselves.…

Animal Farm, by George Orwell, was published 70 years ago, and written as an allegory the Bolshevik revolution, which took place about a century ago. One would expect for book with a theme dating back to 100 years earlier to die out, but it continues to be read in several countries, and is even required reading in most American schools. Instead of fizzling out to not much more than a memory, Animal Farm has instead become increasingly relevant in the past couple of years. Animal Farm still remains relevant today because there are still places in the world that resemble the fictional creations of Orwell.…

The novella enhances the sensibilities of the readers by making them question their society and realize the importance of free speech in literature. In a world where Humanities is considered an impractical field, it is for the books like Animal farm to persuade people to revere literature. If it were not for literature, humanity would have headed to a robotic living, a world where machines will take up the place of emotions because who wants emotions when we can aim for practicality? As long as we are free to write what we feel, we are free. As long as literature is free of the choking clutches of the powerful, we are democratic.…
