Our government doesn’t use something as intense as a telescreen because they watch every move in each room in your house but by looking at our conversations with people on a daily basis is pretty similar to a telescreen. By the government having video cameras everywhere they can just hack into the video camera wherever it is and watch people. But sometimes those cameras are used to solve a crime so it gets hard when there is a fine line between invasion of privacy and helping society. Police invade privacy a lot because they can search you sometimes without a warrant and push their boundaries because they have the power to. This is similar to the “thought police” but only because police now are abusing their power because they know they can get away with it. However, Big Brother is way more intense because they have “thought police” which get people in trouble for even thinking badly about Big
