Modern technology is far more advanced than anything Orwell had described in his novel 1984. However, there are some shocking similarities between our technology and the world of Big Brother. If you were to go to a grocery store, restaurant, gas station, or shopping centers, you will see surveillance cameras set up around the perimeter. Of course we know these cameras were set up for our safety, but is that all our government uses them for?
