Have you ever heard of George Herriman? He was a famous cartoonist. What Is it he was famous for, you might ask. Well, he was famous for making the world wide loved comic strip Krazy Katz. It was a story about a cat named Krazy who had many adventures with his friends. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 22nd in 1880. He grew up in New Orleans until he was a teenager. When he was a teenager his family and him moved to Los Angeles to get away from Jim Crow Laws. Growing up he had no major influences except for when he worked at the Los Angeles Herald in 1897. The only challenge he faced was getting away from the Jim Crow Laws and his family solved that by moving to Los Angeles. He was famous for making the cartoon
