George Do The Right Thing Analysis

George kinda did the right thing, I mean there were other options but Lennie killed Curley’s wife, she scared him and Lennie really does not know his strength. Like what happened in Weed, that lady’s dress looked very soft and Lennie has a thing for soft things but she scared him and he did not know what to do so he held on to her dress, who could really blame him for that. Did George do the right thing? Well it was George or strangers, Lennie does not know his strength, and plus Lennie and George are best friends and Lennie trusts him with all his heart.
Would you rather have some stranger you do not really know kill you or would you rather have your best friend do it in the sense of mercy? It sounds like a weird and bad question but really think about it. George could not hurt Lennie even when he was really mad, he did it to protect Lennie. What if Curley got ahold of him? He is innocent and no ability to understand abstract concepts like death, he often does not mean to do the things that get him into trouble, and once he does get into trouble, he has no idea to define his actions in terms of guilt. Lennie only gets it when he says: "George is going to give me hell" or "George won't let me tend the rabbits." Lennie has these thing for soft things it is like a security kinda of like a little kid with his or her blanket or stuffed toy, it helps Lennie feel safe and that no bad could happen, but what happened in Weed was different well Lennie saw the red dress that looked soft he had to feel it but when the lady screamed he did not know what to do so he just held onto it, he really did not mean it.
