Albert M. Wolters’ novel, Creation Regained, is a book on the basics of the Christian worldview and Christian education. This book is divided into five different chapters; What is a Worldview? , Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Discerning Structure and Direction. The first chapter covers the basics of what a worldview is and Wolters defines worldview as “the comprehensive framework of one’s basic beliefs about thing” (2). In the book, Wolters says there are four elements to this definition of worldview which are “things” are anything that someone have a belief about, a worldviews is only a matter of a person’s beliefs, worldviews have to do with only the basic beliefs about things, and that a person 's basic beliefs shape them into who they are (2,3).…
L. Russ Bush, in his book The Advancement: Keeping the Faith in an Evolutionary Age, attempts to explain from where this shift in philosophical, scientific, and, in some cases, theological shift came. Through his book, Bush defines the shift from absolute truth to relative truth, from objective morality to relative morality, from the Creator to the process, “the Advancement.” Bush uses his book as a medium to argue that the Advancement is not sound and should not be accepted by Christians. Summary…

Through this form of academic debate, a deeper and fuller understanding of Christianity can be achieved. “Dialogues Concerning Natural Religion” is a philosophical work written by David Hume. In this book, he proceeds to consult and provide arguments in favor of God’s existence. All of his arguments are supported with premises spoken through the philosophers in his book (this esay on Cleanthes’s argument). In his argument, Cleanthes clams that the universe is a complex machine which has a plethora of ‘natural’ machines. These machines, both human and natural, all have a mans of working towards a common end.…
There is a need for constant evolution in any society, but one of the hardest things to change in any culture is the ideas of the people. The use of religion in the evolution can have great effects on the change. It can both hinder and excel the ideas of society in both the right and wrong direction. The writing of Matthew Scully, and Harriot Beecher show both the misuses of religion, and support their claims by showing how it may be used in the betterment of the world. They do this by utilizing two distinct strategies in their writings.…
“The Universe Next Door” by James Sire provides insight into the various opposing worldviews society faces today. Beginning with the Pre-Modern thoughts that believe in God’s existence, spanning to the Modern view placing matter in the center of reality, and concluding with the Postmodern thoughts which deny the existence of reality. Throughout the semester we have discussed several of these viewings of the world, noting some views appear to be more practical than others. With the use of Sire’s eight fundamental questions I would like to compare and contrast the Pre-Modern thoughts of the Christian Theistic worldview to the Modern thoughts of the Naturalistic worldview. Beginning with Sire’s first question “what is prime reality-the really…
Given the spiritual dilemma first highlighted in Europe as thinkers gradually discovered that their newfound embrace of faith in reason could not be easily reconciled with faith in organized religion, Friedrich Nietzsche’s post-Enlightenment philosophy should not have come as much of a surprise to any of his contemporaries. In his Parable of the Madman, he frankly portends the immutable result of a communal belief in a Christian God that has been permeated by rationalism and science: “God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him.” Because, during this time, the world was receiving a flood of new ideas that ranged from the revolutionary concept of methodical scientific inquiry to the emergence of Darwinian Evolution, Nietzsche is…
ECOLOGICAL THEOLOGY AND SCIENCE Johnson, Elizabeth A. Ask the Beasts: Darwin and the God of Beasts. London: Bloomsbury, 2014. 122- 286 Elizabeth brings to our attention the doctrine of continuous creation, where the Creator is continuously present and active in the divine presence; such that creation is continuously happening. In this, there is need of dialogue in attending to the Spirit of God, dynamic ground and bearer of all evolution. This is achieved by examining how ever -present Creator Spirit acts by gifting the natural world with its own operational autonomy (124).…

However, neither through religious worships nor through RELIGIOUS INSTINCT ‘DERAILED’ DERIVATIONS such as the materialistic worships, political parties, and ‘man-made’ science, Terrestrial Humans HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO FIND THE ANSWERS for ‘ETERNAL WHY?’.…
