georg cantor was born on march 3, 1845 in St.Petersburg, Russia. he was raised by both his father, Georg and his mother maria. Georg’s was the oldest of six children and was regarded as an amazing violinist. Frantz BOhm was his grandfathered and a well know musician and soloist in a russian imperial orchestra. Georg’s family background was a bit confusing. his parents were both of the german-jewish sock but both were christian; his father was a protestant and his mother was catholic. when Georg’s dad got sick and his family left St.. Petersburg to settle in germany when he was eleven.

In 1860 Georg graduated with distinction from the realschule in darmstadt, he was exceptional in math, trigonometry in particular. georg’s family didn't want
