In geopolitical communities, place is designated by a geographic or political boundary. The people who live, work, learn, and play in the community create the population. Geopolitical community formed by either natural or human made boundaries. I live in Raleigh, the capital city of North Carolina. Raleigh is situated in the northeast region of North Carolina, where the Piedmont and Atlantic Coastal Plain regions meet. Human boundaries are Research Triangle Park, a 7,000acre research hub that hosts branches of some of the world technology firms.
In phenomenological communities the members are bound together by their interpersonal connectedness rather than by geography. I belong to the member of our church community. We all know very well personally
