My analyze of Governor Hogan decision on slashing the funds for education program called Geographic Cost of Education Index (GCEI) that would benefit Prince George’s County public school is unacceptable. In previous years, education has appeared to get the bulk of the budget, however, there seems to be loopholes in making sure that the funds are available for the public school system. Unfortunately, we know that’s not happening especially with his strong views on the Prince George’s County public school system. I propose that if the Governor truly have Prince George’s County residents concerns, that he release the hold on the funds that is allocated and not use a pre-audit to find loopholes because he knows how the money is being spent.
