"Our paths may change as life goes along, but the bond between us remands forever." Let me give you a little background information about Paige, my sister. Paige and I were both raised in different states, my sister was raised in Roanoke, Virginia. I've always imagined what kind of life mine was going to turn out to be, good or bad. I want to thank my sister, Paige, for always being willing to have my back 24/7, teaching me how to be a good parent someday, and how to handle life situations. I will always be thankful for my sister especially when she sticks up for me. For instance, I remember a time last weekend when my friend and I got into a fight, and so she was giving me advice on what I should do, and how to take care of it. Another …show more content…
For example, when I'm struggling with school work or things going on at school, I can sit down with her and she is willing to help me and even get some school work done. But then there are times were she will say, "I like all of your grades in these classes because you try hard and you get your homework done every day, but then I really need you to try harder in this specific class." She has become a second mother to me because she actually sits down with me and actually cares about me and my schooling. Another example that my sister has taught me about life situations is advice on the right times to ask off for work. For example, she has advised me specific times to take off such as if there are any special holidays, like Christmas Eve, part of tulip festival, and some birthdays. My sister has also taught me to not ask off for certain days for just hanging out with friends, days that I just want to sit and relax, and Halloween. I am getting to the age where I don't need to go to Halloween. For work she has taught me if I'm struggling with something to not take it out on other people at work because it's not their fault. They may not even know what's going on so they will get confused very

An individual within a population with an advantageous trait is more likely to survive than the individual without that trait. This means the species without the advantageous trait have a higher chance of dying and will most likely reduce in number. If the trait is heritable, the individual with the trait will produce offspring with that trait and actively grow in number since the trait allows them to better survive in their environment. This is natural selection. Natural selection is the force behind evolution.…

Although my parents never really spoiled me, I never had as many responsibilities as my brother, simply because he was older. When I was eleven, however, my mother and my stepfather had another child: my sister Emilia, or “Emmy” for short. This handed me new responsibilities and marked the beginning of my transition into adulthood within my family, but not only because I became an older sister.
