Ender Wiggin: The Innocent Weapon In Ender’s Game, by Orson Scott Card, Ender is a very controversial character. Many people believe that he is a killer with a violent spirit, and that he meant to commit genocide, while I disagree. I believe that Ender has an innocent spirit, a friendly conscience, and was repeatedly used as a weapon. He was provoked when fighting Stilson and Bonzo, was constantly controlled by the adults, and did not have the intent of genocide on the buggers.
My first point of evidence is how Ender reacts to Stilson and Bonzo provoking, and fightin the book, Ender has a fight with Bonzo Madrid, where Ender ends up again, killing his opponent, and again, it is not Ender's fault. The Atlantic published an article called 12

He says “Even when authority figures know about this abuse, they do not intervene. In most cases they are manipulating the situation in order to foster the abuse of Ender.” This shows how the adults in charge of Ender have manipulated him, time and time again to provoke violence and death. They knew Stilson would attack Ender after they took his monitor out, and did nothing about it, but instead, they interpreted it as his “final exam” before battle school. They deliberately singled him out, and made him the target for bullying and physical abuse by praising him on the launch. They encouraged the fight between him and Bonzo by putting Ender in control of Dragon Army. When Ender committed genocide, they lied to him by making him think it was a training exercise, then shortly after openly admitting that they used him, that he was nothing but a weapon.
