Imagine if all the food in the world never went bad, food waste was at an all-time low, and there were no longer as many starving children in the world because of a simple process that improves a natural food’s shelf life. That would be a world of wonder, however, that the world would only be the surface. If you go deeper into a world with genetically engineered foods and other products you’ll notice that everyone is getting sick and the mortality rates are through the roof for both humans and animals. This would all result from biochemists altering the genes of seeds that already have their completed sequence. Even though Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) can help lessen world hunger and reduce the amount of food wasted in the world, GMOs is mostly speculation and is known for causing many health problems amongst animals that can be disastrous and should not be sold commercially. Genetically modified organisms are crops of food that have been modified using horizontal inheritance. This process occurs when biochemists extract and decode the sequence of a particular food seed. Then they take out the gene that allows for browning to happen and replaces it with a toxin as a built-in resistance to pests, drought, and disease. This is what allows for the crop to be planted in areas where those factors have compromised the production of the crop. This could possibly feed more parts of the world, reducing world hunger. GM seeds are good for lessening world hunger…
