“Genetically Modified Foods are terrible for our society”
Genetically modified foods (GMOs) are terrible for our society. GMOs stand for Genetically Modified Organisms and they have not been tested on humans. The tests that have been done on animals showed that their body parts and DNA had changed which is not good. Although GMOs can be cheaper than organic food they don’t hold the same nutritional values; although, GMOs foods can have vitamins and minerals added to them by genetically modifying them to provide greater nutritive benefits to those who eat them. Once a fruit is genetically modified is no longer a genuine organic product.

It is scary that GMOs are being sold in the U.S. I will rather have pesticides used in our fruit and vegetables. Pesticides are used for destroying insects or other organisms harmful to cultivated plants or to animals. A pesticide can be washed out of our ecosystem. GMOs are not a chemical that can be washed out once a fruit or vegetable has been modified there is no way to reverse that or remove that. I was raise in Mexico where they use pesticides to take care of the plants. In Mexico in order to have a good year with cultivation we will need to know the best season to plant corn, green beans and pumpkins. Another thing when comparing GMOs, in Mexico we cannot find peaches year round only in their season. With GMOs you can have the fruits and vegetables year round with good flavor but they are not healthy or good for our
