There is a a lot of evidence that backs up the theory of evolution. There are different categories that has hard evidence that the theory of evolution is true. Some people believe differently because of religions. Even though there is hard evidence, it is still not for certain if the theory is true. There are different theories on living evolution that make sense and are interesting.

One category that backs up the evolution theory is some of nature's patterns. Some of nature's patterns are Genetic Variation, Adaption, Divergence and Fossil Species. Genetic Variation is when you have two different people and they have the same DNA (like twins) they have the same behaviors and the look alike each other. Adaption is when a species adapts to its environment to survive, like for a bird, it has hollow bones and feathers for it to fly. Divergence is when all species are different from one another. Some of these differences can affect the species a lot or a little. Fossil Species is a species that has died from the past and has left its body bones. Most of fossil species that are found are extinct from earth, they have been extinct from 550 billion years ago.

They started to wonder if we came from an animal such as a sea species or a land species. They came up with a couple different theories, one was that humans had evolved from monkeys to humans. They came up with this theory by looking at the characteristics of both human and monkey. We both have similar DNA, almost the same brain size, we both communicate, both have facial expressions and

“Evolution as Fact and Theory” by Stephan Jay Gould outlines the constant taxing debate over evolution among creationists and evolutionists. He outlines the major issues that fuel the dispute and provides the logical and scientific approach to evolution for a clear argument against the claims of creationists. He firstly, provides a thorough explanation of the misconceptions of the definitions; “theory” and “Fact’. In the common vernacular a fact may be perceived as undeniable information with absolute certainty. (gould)…

From Lucretius, Aristotle, Leonardo da Vinci, to Darwin, Smith and Lamarck, many Philosophers, artists, and scientists have produced theories of evolution in attempts to explain the living and non-living creatures around them. ‘Charles Darwin’s grandfather, Erasmus Darwin…”a British physician and poet… proposed that life had changed over time.” “The possibility of common descent based on changes undergone by animals during development…”Evolution is a fact, the theory of evolution explains how evolution works. Although, the theories of Creationism and Darwinism will always have their separate supporters, and most will never change sides no matter what evidence comes to light. I believe the evidence of evolution is all around us in the world with humans being the most obvious and…

The idea of evolution was once taboo for its new ideas at the time, it was seen as wrong because it challenged ideas already established about the world, especially how life came to be. Evolution is a relatively new idea discovered by Charles Darwin. This discovery came to be when Darwin was traveling along the Galapagos islands where he studied finches and discovered that these finches had all originated from one species of finch and eventually became differentiated leading the species to split, based on their environment. However evolution doesn’t just occur, it takes centuries or even millennia to take place and it isn’t the species that adapt to the environment, the environment selects those who survive. This means that only species with favored characteristics for that environment would be allowed to survive and produce offspring while those who do not have these favored characteristics would become extinct, dividing these species into more groups.…

YR 10 Science Evolutionary Theory Alicia Horsfield Evolution can be defined as a gradual process in which a species changes into a different and more complex form. This happens over several generations. Evolution also proves that all species are related through genetic variation. (yourgenome.org, n.e). Charles Darwin (1809-1882) was an English Naturalist, famous for creating the theory of ‘evolution’.…

Briefly describe at least 3 pieces of evidence for evolution presented in the video. - In the video Charles Darwin and The Tree of Life produced by BBC have show us many evidences to proved the evolution is real. These are the three evidences from the video; first, bones structure that are not exist in today modern world and have been collected over time through rock, under the deep ground, dessert, etc., and form a new species that we never have seen before. Second, would be how the species change over time in term of size, color, and bone structure and Darwin believe that this is because of their environment and food chains.…

Many scientists and political leaders have constantly questioned the theory of evolution and how it has no significant value. But how can evolution be wrong when there is scientific evidence supporting it? Evolution is the theory that all things evolved from a common ancestor, and you can show that with fossils. Fossils will allow you to see the common ancestry between certain species with transitioning fossils.…

Should evolution be a well known fact Evolution is a touchy subject to talk about and, its something you don’t get taught in most cases. Most religious people refuse to consider that evolution did happen. I do think that evolution is very possible. There is more than enough evidence to prove the theory. Evolution should be a proven fact.…

Evolution is a change in populations over time. It is the population that evolves, rather than an individual. There are four mechanisms of evolution: mutation, gene flow, genetic drift, and natural selection. There were multiple contributors to the ideas of evolution, including Charles Darwin and Alfred Wallace. To begin with, mutations cause genetic variation.…

Evolution is a change in allele frequency in a population over time. This is the passing of genes from one parent to children. This is not the same thought process that people lean toward. People tend to think of evolution as people evolving from monkeys over time. It is a change in a species over time.…

There are two sides to every controversy, the other side of evolution is the concept of creationism. Creationism is basically the idea that a God or some form of Deity created Earth and the universe. Which evolution disproves that idea, I personally believe that they could be the same thing. I believe this because in the Christian Bible it was said the creation of the Earth was completed in 7 days, the visions of the creation of Earth…

There are a few ways that scientists have been able to prove evolution is real. The most popular and commonly known way is by looking at fossil records. They can be found in the form of a mold, cast, and imprint. When assembled and put in a panoramic view, fossil records are enough evidence of change in the organism 's structure for a scientist to be able to prove that it evolved over time. Then from there, scientists can determine the age of the fossil one of two ways.…

Fossils are very important to the study of evolution because it helps us observe long term evolution and what changes occur. According to the Norton textbook, Niles Eldredge and Stephen Jay Gould observed not only long periods of evolution in the exoskeletons of animals, but also rapid periods of evolution. Through looking at fossils you can see that in some instances changes occurred rapidly (Norton 222). By studying fossils we can learn what the habitat of the animal was. For instance, fossils studied of apes with long arms and short legs showed that they were adapt to live in a habitat with trees in which they use as their transportation (Norton 246).…

Atavism- Are traits of ancestors that have been inhabited in the modern day. For traits to be an atavism, an organism 's parents or recent ancestors can 't have the trait. They are a good support to the evidence of evolution due to many reasons. Firstly, traits appear that had disappeared generations before. They Can occur in several ways likes when genes for formerly existing phenotypical features are conserved in DNA, and then these become expressed through a mutation that either knock out the overriding genes for the new traits or make the old traits override the new one.…

In the movie I, Robot we are introduced to a long debated philosophical question: “What makes a human being human?”. Is the essence of mankind the fact that we are biologically unique among the myriad of different species on this planet? Is it the fact that we seem to have transcended our baser needs in order to try and make the world fit us as opposed to us fitting into the world around us? Is it perhaps that we have what people would call a “soul”? Or is it possibly that we were said to have either evolved from our animal counterparts, the primates, in order to be what we consider better?…

Evolution is a pretty common word in any science class which means that most people understand what it means. However, with that being said there are many meanings that come along with the word evolution.…
