Genetic Mutations In The Far Future

In the far future, humans had a terrible genetic mutation. The adults weren’t sure how the mutation had happened, but it caused the newborns to have their eyes show a miniature person and that figure is the person who could be their mortal enemy or their soulmate. The adults figured this out the hard way, by seeing it first hand. A child, about 5 or 6, had this mutation and when the person had laid their eyes on them, it was too late. The child had frozen in place, grabbed the nearest object it could, held it tight, and rushed the man. The man, confused as to why a kid would charge at him, had just stood there for a few seconds. Somehow sensing the man's confusion, the kid had caught up to him, quickly swiping the object at him. It had
