Studies conducted showed that the amount of crop yield did not increase so therefore, the performance of genetically modified foods did not meet the world’s standards. Academic studies of “corn and soybeans, the two primary genetically engineered food and feed crops grown in the United States and Based on those studies, the UCS report concludes that genetically engineering herbicide-tolerant soybeans and herbicide-tolerant corn has not increased yields” (Smith). An overwhelming amount of resources and money were wasted to create an altered seed that failed the world. The money wasted on the creation of GMOs could have been used to help feed starving children around the globe instead of unleashing an unsafe mutant into the world. Starvation around the world cannot be cured by a magic seed with exaggerated
