Genetic Engineering Persuasive Essay

Genetic engineering will change the future for the human race. It is now possible to genetically engineer human DNA. Their are many good ways this can effect us, but their is also an equal amount of risk. Genetic engineering is the process of manually adding DNA to an organism. This can be any organism like, animals, plant and humans. Some scientist refer to this as cell manipulation. Genetic engineering is most usually used for plants. No one really uses it for humans, because its dangerous. The process for genetic engineering involves a gene or trait injected into an organism. Many other people felt like this was a dangerous concept. This is because people are scared that bad things will happen to them, or the babies. Their scared of want they don’t know about this process. This can also be a major threat, because once put out into the world they cant be recalled. They can also “mate” with natural organisms. This could mess with human heath, the environment, or even the world. The supporters of this line of research think its a good thing. For example it can keep a disease out of their line of family, like cancer. Parents can chose what their kid will look like. This will probably mean less kids put up for adoption. Also you can genetically engineer your kid to have blue eyes and dark hair. Most people find this amazing. Their has not been many successes with genetic engineering. Who knows how many times genetically engineering a baby has failed, because their not reported. We need an upgrade in our science technology department. We need to get all the flaws out of it make it to where we can’t go wrong. The world might reconsidered there thoughts if there were not so many problems with our plan.
