Genetic engineering is simply defined as artificially changing a gene’s composition. This act has been used on a large variety of species of plants and is now making its way to being legally performed on humans. Scientists believe engineering of human genes is the future and can be described as “the best fate of the human race” (brighthub.com). This will overall reduce the number of various genes making the whole human race at risk of disease or sickness. Loss of genetic diversity could result in a mass extinction of the whole human population.
