The creation of the land and the making of man started what we call our world. God created man to tend to the garden and one night when God caused a deep sleep to the man he created a woman from the rib of the man. God created man and woman to see how the world would be in time. It makes me wonder if the world would be full of so much sin if Adam and Eve did not eat from the tree that they were asked not to. I think that this was a sign from God to make us aware of what life would be like in our time. Not everyone can be perfect, so I think in time someone would have done something that caused sin, if it wasn’t for Adam and Eve to achieve it first.

I am catholic and I know that we have talked about this story before at church. So I was familiar with the story before taking this Mythology class. I do not think that all the myths that we have learned about have a common relationship with religion, but this one does. A myth can also be a traditional story, early history of people and cultural practices. Genesis is a traditional story that many people are familiar with or have heard about before. Genesis is a popular myth since many people do hear about it through the bible and at church. Adam and Eve are individuals that God created to see what they would follow in the Garden of Eden. Through his experiment he realized that it is hard to do the right thing when someone or something is convincing you to do the opposite. It may have ended in a way that caused sin in this world, but it shows that no one can be perfect in this world. This world is made of endless mistakes and a lot of sin. Some things that happen in time are definitely far worse than others, but can always be forgiven by God through time, pray, and dedication to have faith in
