When God created Adam, and he commissioned Adam to name the cattle, beasts of the field and fowls, he recognized that there was not a helper that was suitable for Adam. Therefore, God, caused a deep sleep to fall upon him, and he took a rib from his side, and formed woman. Through this process, God created woman and brought her to Adam.
