It has become critically imperative for modern organizations to understand the Generation Y’s attitude and behavior in the workplace since there are a large influx of Generation Y worker entering their workforce.
Generation Y also called Millennial who born between 1982 until 2000. They have a basic knowledge about technology as they are growing up in an environment where technology infused. Besides, their tolerance of the diversity around them remains one of Generation Y's characteristics since they are considered as diverse group.
Being technology savvy, Generation Y is narcissistic and place high value on lifestyle balance such as freedom in choosing their own working style as they believe they can work away from organizing and still produce

This will become a reason where their manager blame on them because their manager think that they are not complete the work on time. Besides that, Generation X also tend to fear they are losing their edge to generation Y due to the sheer demographic size and new technological skills. Moreover, generation Y want to choose the way they work such as work at home or somewhere else out of organization. Therefore, their manager feel that they cannot accept change in work style since they have to get guidance from generation Y because each generation have their own way to carry out a task. Generation Y is a narcissistic generation because they always think of themselves including work style, flexibility, career and advancement. Technology is one of the reason why they are narcissistic since they can work away from organization by using their own device and work when they the due date of task is coming. At this point, they prefer to use their own device include smart phone, laptop and iPad to achieve the given goals and targets. Therefore, generation Y desire career and advancement which mean they are looking for secure and well paid employment contracts. By this reason, generation Y change organization frequently for new opportunities as well as high salary, flexibility, learning and development and more. Meanwhile, they will leave the organization while they had not been promoted or developing.
