The video starts off with Facebook and how a person's profile becomes a public representation of who they are. Likes for photos posted are a competition for who can get the most. More likes on a photo of themselves make a person feel better about themselves. I have experienced this myself but never to the extent of the teens in the video who take it too an extreme. The likes on my photos make me feel like people are noticing me and taking the time to like something that I have posted. Now, Tyler has been labeled the YouTube Fangirl due to all the products he promotes and marketing companies have even asked him for advice on how to market to younger audiences. He says to be transparent because it is now acceptable to have a sponsor as long as a promoter is not obnoxious about selling the product. Tyler does this especially well in his videos when talking about his Audible books or any nonprofit organization he works with.
