As a result, the Secretary of the Army and the Army Chief of Staff gave directives that the Commanding General of the Training and Doctrine Command lead a review of the Army as a profession from changes that had taken place since the beginning of the wars. According to ADP 6-22, character, presence, intellect, and development are the main attributes a leader should possess. Character, I believe is one of the most important attributes for a military leader to have. Leading a group of soldiers is different than leading a group of coworkers. Soldiers are away from their families, putting their life on the line for our country, therefor they need more from a leader than to just make the decisions.
