The learning experience of Dr. Norward’s course, Generalist Social Welfare Practice, has allowed me to develop my interpersonal skills and feel more confident working with clients. I have faced many challenges and obstacles, but I have also learned a lot about myself as a student as well as a future social worker. This course has helped me to reignite my passion for activism, but also explore the sort of social work I wish to partake in such as becoming a broker for services. One of the biggest takeaways from the course was when I learned that social work should be seen as both a science and art, two areas that I am fascinated about.
