A multimethod evaluation model was implemented to a healthcare organisation to learn the impact of computer assisted order entry on socio-technical system. The study is based on socio-technical theory which is an approach to understanding the relationship between technology, individual, organisations and society in work place design and focus on understanding the social and technical aspects. Basically, the focus of this model is to reduce the complexity in the healthcare organisation. Information technology plays an important role in changing the healthcare system considering safety and quality indicators, organisation culture, work practice and communication patterns. The objective is to build on previous work in this area and to design and test an electronic data collection tool for work measurement
