What did you plan to learn or do? (What was your exhibit goal(s)?)
My goals were to make an interactive children’s story book and to learn more about each country that I was going to include in my interactive children’s story book. With my interactive children’s story book, I wanted kids to really get something out of the story instead of just reading a book. Many kids often learn better when they are using more than one of their senses. My book includes the use of mouth by the kids reading my book and the use of touch as the kids get the opportunity to dress all of the children throughout the book.
What steps did you take to learn or do this? Explain what you did so it is easily understood. The judge wants to know and understand the steps you used to make your exhibit.
On the first page, which is the United States of America Page. I chose a background color of Purple; which would be the background color of the rest of my book. The first step on this page that I did was to color the American flag. The American flag was colored …show more content…
As mentioned above all of the pieces were magnetic so I thought I could use a cookie sheet to display them. Unfortunately there are so many pieces that they would not all fit on a cookie sheet. My second thought was to use a magnetic board. I found out that they didn’t really fit on the magnetic board. After I was struggling to find a place to display my pieces, my mom suggested that I use the magnetic board but only display about a third of the pieces. I thought that this was a good idea. On the first page no clothes were put in the book. The second page each girl’s clothing was put in the protective sleeve. For the third page I did the boy’s clothing. With the fourth and final page, I put both the girl’s and the boy’s clothes into the protective sleeve. I repeated the pattern so none, girl, boy, both throughout my entire
