Introduction
As most of us know, the world only consist of 2 genders, which are male and female. These two are used to differentiate between masculinity and femininity. Therefore, a human being is either male or female. Sometimes people feel like they were born in the wrong body. One might physically be a male but mentally and emotionally they are actually female. This is where being transgender comes in. Some of these people that feel like they were born in the wrong body sometimes transition and actually change from being male to female and vice versa.
Like any other life changing decision, being transgender changes everything about one’s life. Not only do you change physically, but everything else around you changes and other people start seeing you differently because you are now considered a “new” person.
While I was watching TV one day, I came across the reality show I Am Cait. It’s about the famous athlete, Bruce Jenner, who recently transitioned from being a male to a female. It is clear to see that not everyone understands or accepts transgender people due to the lack of knowledge about being transgender or ignorant people. But, not everyone has a negative attitude when it comes to transgender people. There are those that accept them and love them as they would any other normal person and those interested and willing to learn more about them and what they are about. Transgender people deal with a lot just so they can be happy in their own skin and at the end it all seems to be worth it. One shouldn’t care what others say and should always do what makes them happy and transgender males and females are doing just
