There is not one country in the world where women and men earn as much as men. Equal pay for equal work, it sounds so simple but it's hard to believe it’s almost 2017 and gender wage gap is still such a major issue. The wage gap increases with age. The wage gap between women and men ages of 25-34 is 83.8%. Women between 35-44 make 64.7% of what men make. Women between 45-54 are paid only 63.7.8% for every man’s dollar, and women 55-64 years of age face a wage gap of 59.6%. So over all the wage gap can affect anyone, but not equally.
As may not everyone might think gender wage gap is a problem there are several sides. People don't want to do anything about it, they don’t know how or they do not care because it does not affect them. Another problem is women do not know there is a difference between their pay because of workspace laws that regulate discussing pay checks with fellow colleague workers.
