Gender stereotypes are defined as over-estimating the specificity, difference and attributes of a certain group based on their gender . Gender stereotypes make widely accepted bias estimates of certain characteristics that apply to each gender. If a man or woman acts differently than the way their sex is regulated, they do not follow the rules. Sex stereotypes are dangerous because they can create unfair treatments. When gender inequality occurs on the basis of gender stereotypes, this is called sexism.
