The stereotype that Asian women are the perfect sexual object because of their submissive behavior reinforces traditional gender roles. In Hollywood movies show that Asian women are exotic because their beauty standard is different than America’s beauty. Hollywood thinks that they are doing a great job of showing the audience that they believe in cultural diversity by showing the main male actor in a forbidden relationship with Asian women because “women of color were sometimes treated as exotic sex object” (Omi545).
