Gender stereotype means generalization about the gender attributes, differences and roles of individuals. Although it can be positive or negative, most of times they are not based on accurate information. While most people know that stereotypes are not true, many still make assumptions based on gender. There are many gender stereotypes that we believe them, such as women are supposed to have jobs such as secretaries, and teachers. Women are better nurses than man, or men can be better doctors, mechanics, and politicians. I believe parents establish a gender role for their baby from the first day of their baby’s birthday. Most people think men are not responsible enough to take care of children, because when they are at home they waste their time with video games, or watching TV. Most people think all men like working on cars, sports, and outdoor activities, while women are more responsible to raise children, they are supposed to make less money, and have lower position in the workplace.
