Gender Role Stereotypes In Today's Society

Since the beginning of time, gender role stereotypes have played a major issue in many of today’s societies. As children, girls are expected to play with dolls, dress-up and dance while boys are expected to play with trucks and build things with legos. When girls develop into women and boys develop into men, women are automatically expected to be the ones to take care of the children, cook, clean the house, while the men takes care of the finances, work on the cars and do other home repairs. When it comes to occupations people assume that the teachers, nurses and etc are women and the pilots, doctors, engineers and etc are men.
