Transgender men and women have been around for centuries. People frequently ask wonder what the difference between a transgender male or female is. A transgender male is a female living as a man and vice versa. People of society often look down on transgender people, transgenders are people too and it is about time that they get treated like one. “Transgender people identify themselves as being members of a gender that is different from their birth biology.” (Transgender People). It often occurs that trans men and women do not tell straight people that they are interested in that they are trans. They like getting away with being perceived as a straight man or woman. This not right by any means. There is nothing wrong with staying true to yourself and the way you feel, but it is not hard to tell the truth. When straight people find out the truth they feel deceived, not disgusted. It is better to be honest and perhaps people would become more accepting of transsexualism. There are many problems that society finds with being transgender. None of them are actually hurting anyone. People these days take things way too personally, and that is why there are so many problems. It is 2014 and it is time to take a stand and become one hundred percent equal once and for all. Our society needs to become more accepting of each other, and not be so narrow-minded.
