Female students at Rutgers University often are neglected when looking for an open community of women to reach out or relate to. All women face problems such as the gender pay gap, student loans, reproductive rights, violence against women, LGBTQ rights, and women in leadership. These hardships are often looked over or silenced among society.
Some assume, for example, that the pay gap exists because women choose to have lower-paying jobs. The loss of pay throughout the years make it more difficult for women to pay off their student loan debt. They have successfully provided women with empowerment since 1881. Their mission statement is "advancing equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research". The budget strategy provided will look at all the ways this women’s organization can be most successful in the most efficient way. In the beginning of this process, all interested students will be invited to events and programs to spark their interest. With the cost of promotions, food and beverages, performer fees, faculty rental, setup, and production, these will price at about $1500. Excess cost such as posters, flyers, pamphlets, t-shirts, and miscellaneous fees will total up around $500. Therefore, all this organization needs to create and build this successful community will be only $2000. This is a minimal cost since when registered with AAUW, these women will have the opportunity to make that money back and so much more. I truly believe that this organization will have a significant impact and be beneficial to our school. Thank you for your time and
