Sharing economy is booming. It has become one of the fast-growing industries in the past five years, and it is only going to witness more growth with new innovative industry players. Jugglr is a new application launched in 2016 with the objective of connecting mothers with each other through a peer-to-peer platform within an area and offer them an opportunity to use their skills, expertise and spare time to generate an income. The company mission is to close the gender pay gap which is large because of motherhood. It focuses on early adopter- women who just experienced having children and encourage them to master skills. Various services are offered by mothers through the platform from child care and housekeeping to children photography and massage. There are high demands for such services particularly child care services such as babysitting and school picking up. According to IBIS World, childcare sector is expected to increase by 34.8%, from $ 9 billion in 2014-2015 to $ 12 billion in 2019-2020 (MCIE, n.d.). Before being accepted, new members go through a checking process to confirm their identity. Mothers are given the freedom to determine the service fee. For each transaction takes place on the platform, Jugglr charges 5%. To keep mothers in the platform, Jugglr established business deals with some suppliers and opened an online shop to promote their products with a special fee. The company also established a partnership with shofar, a taxi service, and Maurize restaurant to add more value to the application. To keep connecting with mothers, the company ensures being present on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.
