Gender Interview Report

This interview was a lot more fun to conduct than the other one because the groups of people were different. I was able to interview one male this time versus three women and it was very interesting to compare his answers to those of the females. One interesting thing I found was that when I asked questions about family the male had very short and straight to the point answers while the women would go into debt as to why they answered the questions in that way. In the questions about family all three respondents answered the first question the same. They all believed it will be hard to find time management with a family and full time job. The women answered that it would be hard for them because there are household duties they have to complete …show more content…
The both female respondents are currently working hard to get a college degree and do not believe that they will have any time to manage a family and a full time career. Its interesting how I would of expected the man to answer the question by saying that he isn’t looking for a family any time soon.
When it came to the answer about the role that women and men play in the work force it was a common ground for all respondents to answer that they believe men and women should have the same role. All seemed to agree that both genders work long and hard enough to get to where they want to be. It is unfair when men and women are not treated the same in the work field.
One very interesting thing that I did find was the fact that two of my respondents have the same career goal. I tried to choose my respondents to be as different as I could and it was very interesting to see how they wan to physical therapist. Although the male respondent had dreamed of becoming a physical therapist since he was a child it was interesting to see that the female respondent wants to be a physical therapist but it isn’t as important to her social
