Gender Inequality In The United States

Women are told that men and women have the same opportunity to have equality, but it is not true. Society has tried to sell that there is equality between men and women. The idea of equality between the two genders remains a dream for most people, but still not achieved yet. Women has realized that equality does not exist in society. Women are not considered on the same level of men and issue such as pay rate, traditional beliefs, and societal job expectations of women contribute to the inaccessibility. Equality is not does not just happen all of a sudden. The structures to keep society in place establish inequality based on the type of gender that someone is. Even with the Equal Pay Act passed in the United States, there is still “women in the US still face substantial gender wage gap across the spectrum,”(Sheth and Gould 2017) when examining the wage gap in the United States between genders. Wage gap is not the only issue when picking apart the problem.
