Gender inequality is a prominent issue in society. Industrialization created a clear distinction between men and women and their gender roles. Industrialization shows us that men and women are not necessarily viewed and treated equal. Men and women’s duties and expectations vary greatly as men are considered to be the working providers of the household and women are viewed as the caretakers of the home.
