Gender Inequality In Hunter-Gatherer Society

The Mythology of ¨Real¨ Human Nature Is the way that we live today really how we were suppose to live in the first place? With hierarchies of the wealthy over the poverty stricken, having more material possessions than others to make us feel more significant than others, and feeling such a strong, neverending greed that will never be fulfilled. Is that how we honestly see human nature? A competition between everyone? In hunter-gatherer societies, none of that mattered. They worked together as communities to help each other thrive and not be put down for what they were and what they had since they had no need for possessions. By they way historians put it, they had a more fitting life than we do today.
Humans have always been trying to achieve the best possible life that we could have, but is wasting away our home worth it to try and make our dream life? In hunter-gatherer societies they had all that they could want and much healthier lives than we could even …show more content…
If we lived in a more hunter-gatherer like society, we wouldn't have to deal with things like gender inequality. Even though they have separate ¨jobs¨ for men and women, they both were treated equal and didn´t put each other down for their gender. We could also provide for our Earth and build back everything we’ve destroyed. By using the hunter-gatherer way of taking a little at a time, we could make our home safer and more environmentally stable and not deal with things such as global warming because of the pollution that we’ve created for our mass productions. If we incorporate more hunter-gatherer ways of life into ours, we could fix world problems that we have been dealing with for centuries. There would be more leisure time for everyone and have a more fulfilling life than just working until we die to try and make our living. That’s not really living, and hunter-gatherers really
