'The Making Of A Slut'

Woman is a wonderful creation of God. The nature has given her the most important function on Earth, which is, the continuation of the human race. She is weak and gentle half of the humanity. She needs support and care on the part of the opposite, stronger sex. Next to her should be a man who will help and protect her. Unfortunately, most men don’t see it that way. Throughout history, women, a victimized gender around the world, have sought equality, but, unfortunately, male-dominated countries still reject that change. Men believe that they can say anything to her they want, they can do anything they want, they can be absolutely as crass and violent and abusive and cruel and uncaring as they want to be. And that will be okay. Men don’t have to show that woman any sign of respect for being a human being. She is not considered as a human being. She is just a thing. A good example would be a freewriting, “Big Mistake” on city tech city BlogSpot, written by a student at NYC College of Technology. It’s a short essay about a girl named Angel, who was considered “slut of the school.” Angel was somewhat similar to Wolf’s friend Dinah in “Making of a Slut.” Despite the harsh treatment from her peers, Angel, just as Dinah ignored everyone and continued to take pride in who she was. She spent most of her time with guys, getting wasted and just having fun.
