Essay #9 Gender refers to learned attitudes and behaviors that characterize women and men. Gender identity is the perception one has of themselves as either male or female. When you are born your biological sex male or female is undeniable. That’s just my personally opinion and many women may disagree but being our Commander in Chief is no place for a woman. A woman experiences a variety of hormonal changes, we are just built different than men, the White House is no place for someone who holds our nuclear code to have an emotional breakdown. I don’t feel that women get underpaid in the workplace either if you are qualified and have the appropriate experiences that meets up with a man I think she gets treated equally the same. Some people feel as if we still have a long way to go to be completely equal when it comes to gender and the workplace, and we still may have some issues to work on. However for the most part, I don’t feel that there is a gender segregated gap between men and women some jobs are just more appropriate for either men or women it goes both ways as well as there are careers or jobs that both can perform equally. If a man’s pay is more than a woman, to me it shows he is just better qualified and should deserve to earn more, if they are equally qualified on all aspects they should earn the same
