Gender X would be a brand new “Nonbinary” option which would include all those individuals which are “intersex” and do not consider themselves neither male nor female. Examples of Gender X already exist. In fact, last June Oregon’s Transportation Commission agreed to issue, for the first time, a “Nonbinary” driver license. Only in 2016 the government passed a Bill, after ages of discussions, procrastinations and riots, which states civil unions were legal. However, I think Italy won’t be able to introduce such an innovative idea of Gender X mainly because of the Christian extremism (if we can call in such way) which permeates it.
