The point of equality is to treat everyone equally which includes paying males and females the same. In the United States, females only earn 78% to every males 100% this translating to a male earning around $860 (USD) , compared to $706 (USD) for females. In Australia females earn 17.1% less than their male coworker for doing the same job. South Australia has the lowest wage gap in the world (10.8%), meanwhile in Western Australia has the highest wage gap in Australia (26.0%). In Australia it depends on the occupation you have, there will also be an added percentage. The pay difference in food and accommodation careers (7.0%) are lower than financial and insurance services (30.5%) (Australian Goverment.2015). In Australia there is an event called Equal Pay Day, Equal Pay Day is the period of extra days, which females collect the same wage as males do during the previous financial year. In VIC it is Legal before 24 weeks. If after 24 weeks the female will need two doctors approval. In SA it is legal if two doctors agree that a woman’s physical and/or mental health endangered by pregnancy. In TAS it is legal until 16 weeks, after 16 weeks the female will need the approval of two doctors. In WA it is legal until 20 weeks and also restricted to females under 16. In NT it is legal until 14 weeks if 2 doctors approve, but in extreme emergency it can be taken out until 20 weeks (Children By Choice.2015). Abortion should be legal for all females as it is their decision to proceed with the pregnancy. It isn't right that the government is trying to take that right
