I feel like you have a misconception about what gender dysphoria is. Although it is listed in a book for mental disorders, it is not a disorder. The DSM-5 changed the term gender identity “disorder” to using the term “dysphoria,” which means that it is a dissatisfaction with life, and can accompany anxiety, depression, and other psychological issues, but it’s not a psychological problem in itself. Gender dysphoria is “distress that may accompany the incongruence between one’s experienced or expressed gender and one’s assigned gender” (DSM-5, pg. 451). So by watching the documentary, even with just little snippets of each person, could you get a feel for them having stress, pain, or torment, related to their gender identity? I could clearly
