Women of color are more likely to report that they are in fair or poor healths where as white women are more likely to report their health as good and fair. The difference in the health statuses of the different races is sad. African American women are more likely to have diabetes, and hypertension, because of the way their diet, lack of exercise and daily stresses of life. The world needs to realize that this problem is not a in your back yard problem, but effects every women in the world almost the same. In 1990 the breast and cervical early detection program came into play and provided services to low- income women. In 1996 rape prevention and education was created. 2009 The right to know campaign was created to increase the knowledge and awareness of breast cancer among women with disabilities. Health in older women often reflects genetics, environment and living circumstances; women have a longer life expectancy than man. the fact that women are now face with not only being concerned about their health they have the new responsibility of raising their grandchildren and figuring out health care coverage for them. Population growth will continue to affect this world wide issue. The larger the population gets, the more women will have to deal with not have adequate healthcare
