Gender inequality refers to unequal and one-sided treatment of females. Gender disparity in work places has an antagonistic effect on the goals of individuals and decreases financial growth of the economy. It hampers the general prosperity by blocking women from investment in workplaces. In terms of gender equality south Africa comes at 17th place in the world but after several changes in the government and constitution the situation of inequality among women is still uncontrolled (Hutson 84). According, to “The recent employment report of South Africa … showed that 79.4% of senior management is occupied by men and women only occupied only 18%” (Khuzwayo 91). which shows that women are not promoted as fast as men in organisations. There are several issues on which women face inequality, they must do double shifts first they are working at their jobs and then they have to do all household all alone. They are working twice as men even in workplaces there are some situations where they suffer inequality based on “Patriarchy” (Khuzwayo 94).
