As we have grown up through the years we have been stereotyped and shown that they’re only certain things that boys can do and on the other hand, they’re only certain things that girls can do.These things are things like the colours were assigned at birth all come into play on how we’re treated later on in life to what toys we play with to the clothes we wear to the jobs we get.All of these things come into consideration when we look at gender stereotypes and gender roles.

A separation of gender roles is seen so often in the social out blades. Throughout time guys have been known as the person who brings in the money who has a working-class job or higher. Guys are also known as assertive and independent, which is not a bad thing whereas girls have been seen as low workers who are loving wives and mothers who are responsible for raising and caring for children and doing housework eg, cleaning or cooking. The same goes for the guys football, boxing, rugby, and basketball yet again you can see why it's dominated by guys but here's the thing there are now many more female and males in sports so the idea of swimming is a female sport is crazy because it's equal both gender are the same in swimming we can see more of the opposite sex in each sport they are women's football and rugby teams now so something like a girls sport or a guys sport is dying
