We all know that we are in a time where social media is a part of every aspect of what we generally search on web. When you are playing a game, searching the web, listening to music at some point what you are associated with shows up in your timeline. According to (Tuten and Solomon, 2015), “games offer a targeted audience, large reach, a high level of engagement, low intrusion methods of promotion, and a way to interact with brand fans”. I can honestly speaking for myself being a music and game lover, most companies marketing strategy are normally in the form of a games. I can be in middle of a game and after I have played a level I am prompt with a commercial. Some commercials are promoting the download of another game or advertising a great special from an organization. Geico advertised this one commercial with super heroes He-Man versus Skeletor, now I thought it was the funniest commercial but looking back on it now this strategy of gaming for Geico was to lure in customers. Within gaming I will have to give it to Microsoft and Sony, with the introductions of Xbox and PlayStation, which have been around since I was little. Just thinking back on time when all you could do was play the games with two players now you have where each one of the games can go live and you can practically play with people around the world. Both uses advertisement I am not sure how familiar you are with the games but upon sign in there is an introduction page on both consoles and it advertisement everything you can do along with the many offers of upgrading or having paid subscriptions. Both games advertise streaming applications such as Pandora and Netflix. If you do not want to buy games you can rent them with only downloading. In all, the gaming industry is branded off of the consumer whatever the consumer typically craves is what is branding the industry not only for kids but also adults. Each brand shares so many characteristics and one mainly because they sell the same games for each, so
