Society deems what is and isn 't acceptable, and also limits what individuals can and cannot do. An awful habit that society has is creating small boxes, and shoving people into them. If one dares to venture out of the tiny box that they have been placed in, and decides to do something that is not perceived as normal the end result is that they face ridicule, and often times these individuals are likened to monsters. Labeling someone as a monster is a scare tactic since most individuals do not enjoy being ostracized; they will do everything in their power not to overstep their boundaries, and to remain average, like everyone else. In Cohen’s 6th thesis, he alludes to the fear of monsters as being a desire.…

Although the citizens are being entertained, they do not get any knowledge from feelies, and they do not know how to feel by themselves like humans do. Similarly, another invention in this Brave New World that toggles with one 's feelings is a drug called soma, which makes citizens feel better instantly, and forget about any problems, but they do not have thoughts of their own and they conform to society without being individuals. For instance, when Lenina went to the reservation with Bernard, she became very scared because she did not have any more soma, therefore, she did…

Every little action can influence the future. Especially as teenagers, the future seems to be so far away.…

In my opinion, evil exists. Without evil, how would we know what good is? This is sometimes confusing, depending on a situation, to decide if something is classified as “evil”. There are different definitions of evil, depending on law, dictionaries, philosophy, and religion.…
