Gca Benefits

First of all, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a science enthusiast. I love doing all the cool experiments and learning about the planets and Earth. I have been homeschooling this year and it is not very fun. I usually can’t do any of the science experiments because we don’t have all the right materials, which is very disappointing since my science lesson is my favorite part of the day. I’ve loved reading since I was a little girl and I would always choose books that would teach me everything related to science, nature, and interesting facts. I love everything about Science. This is why I think going to GCA would be a great opportunity to have an amazing learning experience.

As middle scholars, we need to be in a school that will keep us active, engaged and that will motivate us to excel everyday with different experiences. Gulf Coast Academy understands that. They take kids outside to learn science and stay active while we have fun every week. That’s great, because it keeps our minds and bodies healthy! It is also very important for us to learn about technology. We’re living in a very technology oriented time. Everything we do every day has something to do with technology. From entertainment, food preparation, school and our jobs, to do any of those things we use some kind of technology. After almost one-hundred and eighty days, the 2015-2016 school year is approaching an end. So far, I have concluded that middle school is basically like building a house. Before middle school started, in fifth grade, the house only had the boards and the main skeleton of the whole structure. All of the basics are learned in elementary school: learning how to read, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction, fractions, the founding of America,, etcetera, but by the time students reach sixth grade, new knowledge builds onto what is already known. Letters are added into the familiar math equations; stories are written with all of the reading and grammar knowledge; unfamiliar people, wars, and awakenings add onto the history of America.…

What Technology Doesn’t Want You to Know Technology, in today’s society, has hindered man’s ability to function properly and maintain one’s independence. Although advances in technology are beneficial in making daily life easier, it will eventually cause society to be incapable of accomplishing even the simplest of tasks. This creates a sense of powerlessness that prevents individuals from being able to live without the luxury of technology. In Ray Bradbury’s story “The Veldt,” he warns society about the dangers that advancing technology can have on one’s independence through his use of figurative language. Technological advances have become an essential part of society that has an influence in everyone’s lives, but especially in the lives of children.…

Science is a topic that makes anyone think no matter their wisdom. It requires a lot of analytical and logical thinking, therefore, it always is a challenge involving failure, success, and a lot of research. My abilities in using sources and independent learning motivate me to overcome and succeed through these problems and tasks. The ways I have learned to solve problems and equations help me deal with assignments in school,as well as challenging tasks and problems outside of school. An extended study of electricity was particularly exciting to me, specifically when we wired batteries through a model house to light it up.…

When I was a young girl, pencils and paintbrushes were practically extensions of my fingers. I may not have been able to recite the alphabet or count to 26, but with a box of magic markers, I had 1,000 words at my fingertips. My first few years of school consisted of many parent-teacher meetings that revolved around the fact that it seemed impossible to keep me from scribbling sloppy stars and smiley faces on every assignment. That is until one day, I finally found a subject that I was truly interested in, and could also benefit from my hobbies and talents: science. I came to love science because it is fascinating, constantly changing, and most aspects of the subject allowed me to expand my mind further than my imagination.…

Even those living in the far away depths of America, and those who can’t even afford free school lunch.
